AW3® IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is an exciting, non-invasive beauty treatment that treats a number of skin conditions without adversely affecting the surface of the skin.       

One of the ways IPL can be used is to try and kick start collagen to rejuvenate your face, neck and chest. As the years pass, the sun and adverse weather conditions take their inevitable toll on our skin, accelerating the aging process and often leaving patches of pigmentation and sun damage.     

A course of IPL rejuvenation treatments can work wonders, not only for your skin but for your confidence! You may see improvements in skin texture and fine lines will become softer. Pigmentation and signs of sun damage will be reduced and sometimes eliminated completely. You will enjoy a fresh, glowing and more youthful complexion with a more balanced skin tone.

The IPL device, which is rather like a little probe, has different settings which are carefully customised to your particular skin type. The device then delivers light in short "pulses" to the areas of your face to be treated, softening your appearance and stimulating the production of collagen which is what helps give the skin its elasticity.

What you'll feel is a mild stinging sensation as each pulse of light hits the targeted area. It's a bit like a rubber band being flicked against your skin and in no way unbearable! Some people describe it as a pricking sensation. Don’t worry – you’re in safe hands!
